Housed in a century-old Sino-Portuguese mansion on Rongmuang Road, the Songkhla National Museum holds one of the region's finest collections of southern Thai artefacts. Highlights include prehistoric finds and a strong selection from the Srivajayan period — the powerful maritime empire that once controlled the peninsula. Opening hours are 9am–noon and 1pm–4pm; closed Mondays, Tuesdays and public holidays.
