Nagarina is a floating restaurant moored on the Mekong, serving Thai-Isaan cuisine with a particular focus on fresh river fish. The setting is hard to beat — you are literally on the water, with Laos visible across the river, and the kitchen does good things with Mekong catfish, spicy papaya salad, and the various fermented fish-paste dishes that define Isaan cooking. It is popular with Thai visitors and gets busy at weekends.
Prices are moderate and the portions are large. Go at sunset for the views and the atmosphere; the food holds up to both.
