Chao Fongkham House is a northern Thai teak residence set in a quiet garden behind Wat Pragert. The house belonged to a noble family connected to Nan's last rulers, and its older timbers show the hand-cut construction used before large saws were common in the province.
The appeal is domestic rather than grand: carved wood, raised floors, old household objects, and the sense of how elite Lanna families lived outside the formal palace world.
