Pedasa is the Bodrum ruin for travelers who want something rougher than the castle and less packaged than the marina. The ancient Lelegian settlement sits in the hills above town, with wall lines, tombs, and scattered remains reached by paths through pine and scrub.
The site asks for imagination, water, and decent shoes. Its appeal is the combination of archaeology and hill walk: you leave the resort strip behind, climb into the older landscape of the peninsula, and come back with a better sense that Bodrum's history did not begin with yachts or nightlife.
