About a kilometre north of Çavuşin, Pasabag is one of the densest concentrations of fairy chimneys in Cappadocia — tall conical pillars of volcanic tuff with darker basalt boulders perched on top. The chimneys here have multiple "heads" stacked one above another, an unusual configuration.
A short marked path winds among the rocks. Pasabag is on the standard tour-bus circuit, so it can be busy mid-morning; the best time to visit is at dawn or in the last hour before sunset, when the tuff turns gold and the chimneys cast long shadows. The walk from Çavuşin takes about 15 minutes.
