Mazi Underground City is one of Cappadocia's subterranean refuge settlements, with tunnels, rooms, storage spaces, and defensive passages cut into the soft volcanic rock. It is quieter than the most famous underground cities, which can make the experience feel more immediate.
The site works well as a day-trip extension from Nevsehir or the central Cappadocia towns. Wear practical shoes, expect confined spaces, and check current access before travelling to the village.
