Most visitors arrive via either Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV), 35 km west, or Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR), 70 km east. Kayseri has more frequent flights and is the more common entry point. Both have shuttle services to the main Cappadocia villages; book ahead and confirm Uçhisar drop-off (some default to Göreme).
Once in the region, dolmuş (shared minibuses) connect Uçhisar with Göreme, Nevşehir, and Ürgüp every 30–60 minutes during daylight. A taxi from Göreme is short and inexpensive. Many travellers rent a car for a few days to cover the wider region — the roads are good and parking is straightforward in Uçhisar.
