Uçhisar is a small village built around one enormous landmark: the rock castle that rises out of the village like a beehive of cave rooms. The castle and the walks down into the surrounding valleys are the main draws. Most visitors spend a half day in Uçhisar itself, using it as a base for exploring Göreme, Zelve, and the valleys in between.
