The nearest airport is Nevşehir Kapadokya Airport (NAV), about 40 kilometres from Urgup, with flights from Istanbul and Ankara. Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR), 85 kilometres away, has more connections and is worth checking for better fares. Shuttle buses run between both airports and Urgup. From Ankara or Istanbul you can also arrive by overnight bus to Nevşehir and pick up a dolmuş (shared minibus) to Urgup. Dolmuşes run throughout the day connecting Urgup, Göreme, Avanos, and Nevşehir.
