Temple of Hadrian

The Temple of Hadrian is one of the most elegant small monuments along Curetes Street in Ephesus. The reconstructed facade dates to the Roman period and is known for its arched portico and carved reliefs, including a Medusa head used as a protective symbol.

It is easy to miss if you are hurrying toward the Library of Celsus, but the temple rewards a closer look. Its scale is compact, and that makes the carved details easier to read than on Ephesus's larger monuments.
