The main museum on the Gallipoli peninsula, rebuilt in 2012 on the site of the old Kabatepe Visitor Center, covers the 1915 campaign in depth. The collection includes weapons, uniforms, military equipment, and personal objects found on the battlefields — letters, photographs, identity discs, boots — alongside maps and explanatory panels that cover both the ANZAC and Ottoman perspectives. A scale model of the peninsula helps visitors orient themselves before setting out.
The presentation is genuinely balanced, giving considerable space to the Turkish experience of the campaign and to Mustafa Kemal's role in the defence. The museum is the standard first stop on organised tours and is a useful introduction even if you plan to explore the sites independently afterwards. Guided audio tours are available. The museum sits at the Kabatepe junction, from which the main battlefield road leads north toward ANZAC Cove.
