The smaller resort village eight kilometres west of central Marmaris, set in its own bay at the foot of the pine-covered mountains. The beach is longer and the water noticeably clearer than at Marmaris itself — the run-off from the river and the marinas does not reach this far — and the atmosphere is marginally quieter, with more families and fewer all-night bars.
The dolmuş (shared minibus) from the Marmaris seafront takes fifteen minutes and runs constantly. It is a good day trip from Marmaris or, if you want a calmer base, a better place to stay than the town centre.
