A small bay village twenty kilometres south of Marmaris, reachable by a switchback mountain road or — better — by water-taxi from the Marmaris seafront. The beach is a horseshoe of fine grey sand and clear water, lined with small hotels and restaurants stepping up the hillside, and it has resisted the worst of the high-rise development further north.
It is a standard stop on the daily boat trips out of Marmaris; on a longer visit it is also worth coming over by road in the evening, when the day-trippers have gone and the village feels much more like a Turkish village.
