Selçuk is on the main İzmir-Aydın-Denizli line and has frequent trains and buses both ways. From İzmir (Adnan Menderes airport or Basmane station) the local commuter trains take about 90 minutes; from Denizli/Pamukkale the train takes about three hours. The Selçuk railway station is in the centre of town, a five-minute walk from the museum and the hotels.
The nearest airport is İzmir (60 km north), the main entry. Bodrum and Dalaman are further away but feasible if you are flying in to combine Ephesus with the south coast.
Most of the Selçuk hotels offer a free pick-up service from either the railway station or the central otogar; check when booking. Cruise ships dock at Kuşadası (20 km), and many of the day-trippers to Ephesus come from there.
