Dubai's beaches run along the Jumeirah and Al Sufouh coastline for about 25 kilometres. The water is warm year-round — 22–32°C — and the beaches are clean and well maintained. Several free public beach parks are interspersed with hotel beaches and pay-entry beach clubs.
The most accessible free public beaches are Kite Beach (Umm Suqeim), JBR Beach (Jumeirah Beach Residence, also known as The Open Beach), and La Mer in Jumeirah 1. Al Mamzar Beach Park on the Deira side is calmer and less crowded. Hotel beach clubs charge an entry fee (typically 100–200 AED) but include use of sun loungers, pools, and facilities.
Swimming is safe year-round, though the summer months (May–September) are too hot for comfortable sun exposure. Topless sunbathing is not permitted. The dress code on the beach is relaxed — swimwear is fine — but changing into more conservative clothing before leaving the beach is expected.
