Wild Wadi is a water park next to the Burj Al Arab and Jumeirah Beach Hotel, themed loosely around the tale of Juha, a character from Arabian folklore. Opened in 1999, it has 30 rides and attractions, 17 of which are interconnected — you can float from one to the next without getting out of the water.
The standout rides include Jumeirah Sceirah, a 33-metre freefall speed slide, and the Tantrum Alley and Burj Surj tornado rides. For something gentler, the Breaker's Bay wave pool is one of the largest in the Middle East. The park is well-maintained and relatively uncrowded on weekday mornings.
