The Temple Club occupies a restored colonial shophouse on Ton That Thiep Street in District 1, its interiors furnished with antique pieces — lacquerware, carved wood, old photographs — all of which are available for purchase. The restaurant serves Vietnamese cuisine in the upmarket Saigon style: dishes that are familiar but carefully presented, with French influence in the sauces and the wine list. The appetiser platter is a strong opening.
The bar attached to the restaurant is one of the more civilised places in the tourist centre to have an evening drink — no sound system, no touts, just a well-stocked bar in an elegant room.
