The Albury Botanic Gardens are a calm, useful stop beside the city centre and close to the Murray. They are not a reason to cross Australia, but the old trees, lawns, and shaded paths make them one of the nicest short walks in town.
They work especially well in summer, when the streets and river flats can feel harsh by midday. Combine them with Dean Street, MAMA, and the river path.
