The ANZAC Memorial Walk follows a dramatic clifftop line above Newcastle's beaches, joining coastal scenery with a memorial to Australian service in the First World War. Steel silhouettes, names, and ocean views give the route a strong sense of place without turning it into a conventional monument.
It is one of Newcastle's best short walks: accessible, scenic, and easy to combine with Bar Beach, King Edward Park, or the Bathers Way. Go early or late for softer light and fewer crowds on the exposed sections.
