King Edward Park is one of Newcastle's classic coastal green spaces, set above the ocean with lawns, gardens, and broad views. It links easily with the Bogey Hole, the clifftop walks, and the city's old military and maritime edges.
The park works because it combines scenery with history without making either feel forced. Come for a picnic, a walk, or a pause between beaches; the ocean does most of the talking.
