Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre

Warradjan Aboriginal Cultural Centre, near Cooinda, is one of the most useful stops in Kakadu because it gives context before you head back into the landscape. Exhibits explain local Aboriginal culture, seasonal knowledge, bush foods, and the meaning of country in ways that make the park's sights easier to read.

It is also a good midday stop when walking is unpleasantly hot. Do not rush it; even an hour here improves the rest of a Kakadu visit.
