Brisbane Airport is about 15 km northeast of the city centre, served by domestic and international flights. The Airtrain runs every 15 minutes from the international and domestic terminals to the city centre (Brisbane Central station) in about 22 minutes. It is the fastest option and connects to the rest of the South East Queensland train network. Taxis and rideshares take 20–30 minutes depending on traffic and cost roughly AUD 40–50.
By road, Brisbane is connected by the Pacific Motorway (M1) to the Gold Coast, about 70 km south, and by the Bruce Highway north to the Sunshine Coast and beyond. Long-distance coaches serve Brisbane's Roma Street Transit Centre from Sydney, Melbourne, and regional Queensland. The Sydney to Brisbane train (the Spirit of Queensland) runs three times a week via the North Coast Line and takes about 14 hours.
