Brisbane's oldest surviving home, built in 1846 on the north bank of the Brisbane River at Newstead, about 3 km northeast of the city centre. The house was the residence of early Queensland settler Patrick Leslie and is now a museum furnished in the style of the colonial period. The grounds overlook the river.
