The West End Markets at Davies Park run every Saturday morning from around 6am to noon and are the most authentic market experience in Brisbane. The focus is on fresh produce — seasonal fruit and vegetables from Queensland growers, eggs, bread, coffee — alongside a ring of food stalls selling everything from shakshuka to Japanese breakfast. It is the kind of market where locals actually shop, not just browse.
Davies Park itself is a long riverside park with a grassed amphitheatre and shade from large Morton Bay figs. The combination of the market, the river views, and the West End neighbourhood makes this an excellent Saturday morning. The nearby Boundary Street cafes are packed by 9am with people continuing the morning over a second coffee. Arrive early if you want the best produce.
