Getting Around

Clontarf is small and flat, making it easy to get around on foot or by bicycle. The train station is a short walk from the foreshore, and everything in the suburb is accessible without a car. The bay foreshore path runs flat along the water and connects directly to Sandgate to the south and Shorncliffe to the north, both within comfortable cycling or walking distance. There is no local bus network to speak of within the suburb itself — the train and your own two feet are the main options.
