Clontarf is straightforward to reach from Brisbane by public transport. Clontarf station is on the Shorncliffe line, with regular services from Brisbane Central — the journey takes around 30 to 40 minutes. The station is within easy walking distance of the foreshore.
By car from Brisbane CBD, the trip takes around 25 minutes via the Gateway Motorway (M1) and the Bruce Highway, then through the northern suburbs. Parking near the foreshore is free but fills up on busy summer weekends.
The foreshore path also connects to the broader Moreton Bay cycling network, making Clontarf reachable by bicycle from neighbouring Sandgate, Shorncliffe, and further afield along the bayside tracks.
