Getting There

Maroochydore is the transport hub of the Sunshine Coast. The Sunshine Coast Airport (sometimes still called Maroochydore Airport) handles direct flights from Sydney, Melbourne, and other Australian capitals, as well as some international services. The airport is about 10 kilometres north of town and taxi and rideshare services connect easily to the centre.

By road, Maroochydore is roughly 100 kilometres north of Brisbane via the Bruce Highway. The Sunshine Coast Bus service operates frequent connections to Brisbane's northern suburbs and transit centres. Greyhound and other long-distance coaches stop at the Sunshine Plaza bus station.
