Mooloolaba Beach

Mooloolaba's beach is the calmest of the popular surf beaches on the Sunshine Coast. The crescent of golden sand faces north and east, sheltered by Point Cartwright at the northern end, which kills the worst of the southern swell. The result is a beach you can let children swim at most days of the year.

It is patrolled all year by surf lifesavers, with flagged swimming areas in front of the Esplanade. The Loo with a View — a small public toilet block on a rise above the beach — is a long-running local landmark. Walk the full length of the sand at low tide for a quiet alternative to the busy Esplanade end.
