Noosa Heads is about 140 km north of Brisbane, an easy 90 minute drive up the Bruce Highway and the Sunshine Motorway. The closest major airport is Sunshine Coast Airport at Marcoola, about 30 minutes south, with daily flights from Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland.
From Brisbane Airport, the easiest options are a hire car or one of the regular shared shuttle services (Con-x-ion, Sun-air) that run several times daily. Trains run to Cooroy and Nambour on the North Coast line, with connecting buses; the bus station is at Noosa Junction. Within the town, walking is the obvious choice — Noosa Heads is small enough that a car is more of a parking problem than a convenience.
