Tea Tree Bay

Tea Tree Bay is the first of the small bays you reach walking east along the national park coastal track from the headland — about fifteen minutes from the visitor centre. The beach is small, scallop-shaped, lined with paperbarks and pandanus, and faces east into a clean break that on a clean swell makes a beautiful right-hand point.

The bay itself is too rocky for casual swimming, but the views back across the cliffs to the open ocean are some of the best in the park. The koala-spotting odds along the trail just behind Tea Tree are better than almost anywhere else in Noosa: look up, walk slowly, and you have a real chance.
