Menglers Hill Lookout gives the Barossa its classic broad view: vineyard rows, townships, low ridges, and dry South Australian light spread across the valley floor. It is an easy stop by car between cellar doors, and it helps orient the region better than any map.
The lookout is also close to the Barossa Sculpture Park, so the visit can be more than a quick photo. Spend a little time walking between the works and the view becomes part of a larger ridge-top pause above the wine country.
