The Barossa has developed a strong food scene alongside its wine reputation. Cellar-door restaurants at the major estates offer some of the best dining in South Australia, and the German heritage tradition — smallgoods, pretzels, smoked meats — remains alive in the delis and bakeries of the main towns. Tanunda, Nuriootpa and Angaston each have good options for lunch and dinner.
