Wineglass Bay is the postcard image of Freycinet: a near-perfect curve of pale sand below granite slopes and blue-green water. The standard walk climbs steeply to the lookout, then drops to the beach if you have time and energy.
The lookout alone is worth the climb, but the beach feels much wilder once you descend. Carry water, start early in summer, and expect the return climb to feel longer than it looked on the way down.
