Wonders of Wynyard is more useful than the average visitor centre. It combines local information, changing exhibitions, regional products, and a veteran car display that includes a 1903 Model A Ford, often described as one of the oldest surviving Fords.
Stop here early in a Wynyard visit. It helps you make sense of Table Cape, Fossil Bluff, and the surrounding north-west coast, and it gives the town a small but memorable indoor anchor if the weather turns.
