DOC opened on Faraday Street in 2009 and has held a place in the city's better-pizza conversation ever since — wood-fired Neapolitan-style bases with the traditional Italian protected-origin (denominazione di origine controllata) ingredients the name refers to. The mozzarella bar across the road specialises in the buffalo mozzarella that flies in weekly from Campania.
The small dining room fills up fast on Friday and Saturday nights and does not take bookings for parties under six. Lunch is a much easier proposition. Combine with a film at Cinema Nova next door for an easy Carlton evening.
