Victoria Park Lake

Victoria Park Lake is the green heart of Shepparton — a large artificial lake set within parkland at the southern edge of the city centre. It's the kind of place a regional city builds its recreational life around: walking tracks circling the water, picnic areas, a children's playground, and enough open space to feel genuinely restful.

In summer the lake draws swimmers and people with kayaks; in the evening it's the standard walk for locals. The surrounding parkland includes sports ovals and barbecue facilities. Birdlife is good — the wetland edges attract waterbirds year-round.
