Turquoise Bay is the beach most visitors hope Ningaloo will be: pale sand, clear water, and reef close enough to reach from shore. On calm days it is superb, especially if you understand the current and use the drift snorkel safely.
It is also popular, fragile, and not a free-for-all. Enter and exit where advised, avoid standing on coral, and pay attention to currents that can carry inattentive swimmers farther than expected.
