Yardie Creek cuts through the southern end of Cape Range, with red rock walls, still water, and a strong sense of the desert meeting the coast. Short walks give views into the gorge, and boat cruises sometimes run when conditions allow.
It is a long drive from Exmouth by local standards, but the road south through the national park makes the journey part of the day. Check road and creek-crossing conditions if you plan to continue beyond the standard visitor area.
