St Paul's Church at Glenmark is a quiet country sight rather than a major attraction, but it adds a human scale to the vineyard valley. Built in 1906 in an English style, it uses stone and brick outside and kauri and rimu timber inside.
It is worth a short look if you are already moving between the Waipara cellar doors. The charm is in the setting and the survival of a small rural church in a valley now better known for wine.
