Te Pare Point Historic Reserve

Short headland walk to old pa sites and broad views over Hahei Beach.

Te Pare Point is the small headland at the southern end of Hahei Beach. The Hereheretaura Pa short walk climbs from the beach or Pa Road through coastal vegetation to the remains of two pa sites.

It is a quick walk, but worth doing before leaving Hahei. From the top you get the cleanest view back along the sweep of the beach, with the offshore islands and the Cathedral Cove coast beyond.
