The Lost Spring is Whitianga's geothermal-pool escape, set a few minutes' walk from the centre. It is more built-up spa complex than wild hot spring, but after a windy beach walk or a long drive over the peninsula, warm mineral water has its uses.
It is best treated as a slow end to the day rather than the main reason to come to Whitianga.
