The Levin Domain — also known as Courtesy Domain — is the town's main public park, an open green space east of the main shopping strip used for cricket, athletics, and the weekend farmers' market. A playground, skate park, and the town swimming pool are all here, which makes it the obvious place to break a long drive with kids.
The Saturday morning market (8 am to noon) is one of the better small-town markets in the lower North Island — strong on local vegetables (this is one of the country's major horticultural districts) and on the kind of homemade preserves and baking you would expect.
