Queen Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth Park is a large coastal park between Raumati South and Paekakariki, with dunes, grassland, beach access, and broad views along the Kapiti Coast. It was opened during Queen Elizabeth II's 1953 visit to New Zealand.

The park works well for a half-day walk or cycle ride, especially if you want open coast rather than a built-up beach.
