The Wharemauku Stream flows westward through Raumati to the sea, and a shared path follows it for several kilometres inland. It is an easy, flat walk or cycle through suburban greenery — not wilderness, but pleasant enough and well-maintained. Ducks are a permanent fixture.
The path connects to the wider Kapiti Coast cycleway network, so you can extend a ride north toward Paraparaumu or south toward Paekakariki without touching a road for much of the way. Good for families.
