Seddon Park is New Zealand's premier cricket venue in the Waikato region and one of the country's most attractive grounds. It has hosted international test matches and one-day internationals and is the home ground of the Central Districts and Northern Districts cricket teams. The intimacy of the ground — it seats just under 10,000 — makes watching cricket here more enjoyable than at many larger venues.
When there is no game scheduled, the ground is not especially worth visiting on its own, but it is a pleasant spot to walk past on the riverside path. If you are in Hamilton during a domestic or international cricket season, check whether there are fixtures — tickets for domestic games are very cheap and often available at the gate.
