Church of Leusa

The Church of Leusa is a short trip from Përmet and is known for its rich Orthodox iconography. Its interior paintings are the main draw, and local tradition holds that the church survived wartime destruction because it looked more like an art gallery than a church. It is one of the better cultural stops around Përmet if you have time beyond the river and town centre.
