Vlorë Promenade

The seafront promenade runs for several kilometres along the bay of Vlorë, lined with palm trees, cafes, and ice cream vendors. In the evenings it fills with locals — families with children, couples, groups of men playing backgammon at outdoor tables — in the Albanian tradition of the xhiro, the evening stroll. It's one of the best places in the city to simply sit and watch the light on the water.

The northern end of the promenade passes near the port, where you can watch the ferries to Brindisi loading. The southern stretch becomes quieter and less commercial, with benches looking out over the bay toward the island of Sazan (a former military base, closed to visitors). The promenade connects easily with Flag's Square and the main shopping streets.
