Caldea

Caldea is Andorra's big thermal spa complex in Escaldes-Engordany, a short walk from Andorra la Vella. The building is impossible to miss: a tall mirrored spire and glassy pools that feel more like a leisure palace than a traditional bathhouse.

It is not a rustic mountain experience, and that is the point. Caldea is best on a cold or wet day, after skiing, hiking, or too much duty-free shopping. Book ahead in busy periods and check which zones are adults-only if you want quiet rather than family chaos.

A story
Caldea's glass spire is one of the least shy buildings in Andorra, rising above Escaldes-Engordany like a Pyrenean version of 1990s futurism. It suits the country better than you might expect: part spa, part shopping-era monument, part weatherproof escape from the mountains.
