The Church of Saints Peter and Paul is one of Baranovichi's older surviving religious buildings, an Eastern Orthodox church with the onion domes and white-and-gold exterior typical of Belarusian ecclesiastical architecture. Most of the city's pre-war buildings were obliterated during the Second World War — Baranovichi was occupied by German forces for three years and suffered enormous destruction — which makes the church's survival something of an anomaly and gives it added significance as a link to the city's earlier character.
Inside, the iconostasis is richly decorated, and services are still held regularly. Visitors are welcome outside of service times; dress conservatively and cover your head if you are a woman.
