The open-air museum at Ozertso gathers wooden houses, farm buildings, churches, tools, and household objects to show rural Belarusian life outside the capital's Soviet and modern layers. The setting lets you walk through vernacular architecture at full scale rather than seeing it compressed into display cases.
It is one of the most useful Minsk excursions for understanding the countryside that shaped much of Belarusian culture. Allow time for the ride out and back, and visit in decent weather because the museum is spread outdoors.
